Remember this one?
And this one?
Tim started school in April of 2010. A couple of weeks after arriving in Australia. He was happy to put on a uniform and start school in KW, with Mrs Wagner. No English, except for yes, no, yellow and hello. Zoë was in Mrs Wagner’s class as well. With a bit more English, but very young, so eager to learn and start school. This year they are in year 6 and 7, time flies when you are having fun.
This week was the first week of school for both Tim and Zoë in 2017. After a holiday of 6 it was definitely time to go back to school. Do not be sad as they enjoyed their holidays very much. With grandparents visiting, so no holiday care and visiting Canberra and Brisbane, the had a pretty good time.
Zoë started year 6 at West Pennant Hills and is happy to be back. On the first day she was a bit nervous as she did not know who her teacher would be and who would be in her class. Well, it all turned out fine. She got the teacher she wanted, Mr. S, and has her dear friend miss C in her class. Miss C and Zoë met in kindergarten and have been friends for years. They can really giggle and have a good time. This weekend her homework is colouring in her book covers and contacting them. Next week Zoë will start her Code Camp 😉 All good things for term 1.
Tim had a bigger change, as he started high school. A nervous and excited boy packed his bags on Sunday and was 100% ready. Monday, the first day of school finally arrived and dressed in his new uniform, with his new bag and lunch box he left the house. At school he quickly met some of his old friends from West Pennant Hills Public. To be short it was a week full of learnings and life lessons, but he did a great job, is very happy and we could not be more proud of him. He enrolled in the science club (surprise) and even did his homework.
The first week of school was a great week, two happy kids, happy parents who are looking forward to a good year!
